Privacy policy
Applies to apps on humblec.io, including hcledger (ledger.humblec.io). Last updated: October 2026.
What hcledger accesses
- Gmail (only if you connect it): the app searches for invoice and receipt emails, reads them to extract the vendor, date and amount paid, and adds Gmail labels (
Invoices/…) plus one filter so new receipts are labelled. It does not send, delete or forward email. - Files you upload (bank statements, documents): stored so you can view and analyse them.
How data is used
Data is used only to show you your own invoices, payments and finance analytics. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models. If optional AI extraction is turned on, the text of a receipt the built-in parsers can't read is sent to Anthropic's API to extract the payment, under Anthropic's commercial terms (no training on API data).
Storage and security
Data is stored in a managed MongoDB database. OAuth tokens and client secrets are encrypted at rest. Access is limited to your account and the people you invite.
Google user data
hcledger's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your controls
- Disconnect Gmail at any time in Settings → Integrations (this revokes access at Google), or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Export your payments as CSV, or delete them, from the Expenses page.
- To delete your account and all data, email the address below.
